GridIQ is an open source software system which enables agents executing in an agent platform to interact with devices in a power simulation tool during simulation, providing a test bed for smart grid agents. GridIQ acts as a bridge between the JADE agent development platform and the PSAT power simulation tool.

GridIQ has been developed as part of an honours year thesis in Software Engineering at the University of Queensland. The paper describing the background and development of the system is available here.

A sample project demonstrating the use of GridIQ as well as full source code is available from the projects Sourceforge site.

API documentation is available here. This project is still in it's infancy. Any contributions or suggestions from users and developers will assist in making it great.
